ServiceTitan coaching from someone who ran the shop

ServiceTitan coaching is hands-on help getting the whole platform working for you and the business making money: the setup and the modules you actually need, how the day is dispatched, priced, and costed, and the owner-level decisions that turn a busy week into a profitable one. We ran HVAC and plumbing shops before we did this, so it is coaching on how to make money running the shop, not a tour of which buttons to press.

Where our ServiceTitan coaching focuses

Six areas, picked because they are where shops lose time and margin, not because they fill a slide:

Operations

Tighten the day-to-day: dispatch, scheduling, the handoffs that quietly cost you jobs.

Workflow design

Map how work actually moves through your shop in ServiceTitan, and fix the steps that leak time and money.

Business operating model

The structure underneath the software: roles, accountability, how the shop is meant to run.

ServiceTitan coaching

Get more out of the platform you are already paying for: the features that move margin, skip the ones that do not.

Job costing

Know what each job actually costs you, so your pricing reflects reality instead of hope.

Reporting

The handful of numbers an owner should watch, and how to read them without a finance degree.

When you do not need a coach

If your pricebook is clean and your techs present from it without improvising, if jobs get costed the day they close, and if you can pull your close rate and average ticket in under a minute, you do not need us. Plenty of shops need one fix, not a program. If that is you, we will say so on the first call and point you at the fix. Coaching is for the owner who feels the platform is doing less than it should and cannot yet say exactly where.

We coach the business, not just the app

Most ServiceTitan help teaches you to use the software: the modules, the buttons, the certified way to set it up. That matters, and it is not the same as making money. We ran HVAC and plumbing shops before we did this, so we coach the business the platform runs, not only the platform: how the day gets priced and dispatched, how jobs get costed, which numbers tell you the truth, and the owner decisions that turn activity into profit. Effective app use is table stakes. Making money is the job.

We are also independent. Certified partners are trained by ServiceTitan, so their incentive points back at more ServiceTitan: more seats, more Pro, more modules. We have no reason to push you into a tier you do not need. And we are not down on ServiceTitan. It is a strong platform, and our job is to make the one you already pay for earn its keep, then get out of your way. An operator who has sat in your seat gives you a different kind of advice than a reseller reading off a deck.

One place the money leaks: the pricebook

Coaching covers the whole operation, but the pricebook is the one place we can put a hard number on, so start there. Across 15 real ServiceTitan pricebooks we analyzed (39,844 active services):

88.7%
of active services had no recommendation set
94.3%
had no upgrade set
60.6%
of jobs had no linked material, so the parts never reach the invoice
31.1%
describe the job in their own text but link nothing to back it up

That is not a knock on any one shop. It is the state of most books, and it is money the system could be prompting and is not. The book is where we can show you a number. The bigger wins are usually in how the shop runs around it: pricing, dispatch, job costing, and the owner decisions behind them. Want to see where your own book sits? The free Pricebook Health Audit reads your export and shows you in about five minutes, no login.

How it pairs with a build

Coaching and a pricebook build reinforce each other: the build gives your techs a sales system, the coaching makes sure the shop around them runs so the gains stick. Many owners start with an audit and add coaching once the pricebook is solid.

Questions

Straight answers

What is ServiceTitan coaching?

Hands-on help getting your shop and your ServiceTitan setup to run the way they should: operations, workflow, job costing, and the handful of reports an owner should watch. Less about which buttons to press, more about the operating model the software runs on top of. We have run HVAC and plumbing shops ourselves, so it is coaching from the operator seat, not a feature tour.

Who is it for?

HVAC, plumbing and electrical owners already on ServiceTitan who feel the platform is doing less than it should. If dispatch is loose, jobs are not getting costed, or you cannot get to the few numbers that tell you how the shop is really doing, that is the gap coaching closes.

Are you a ServiceTitan coach or a ServiceTitan consultant?

Both words fit, but the honest label is operator. We ran HVAC and plumbing shops on ServiceTitan before we did this, so a ServiceTitan coach here is someone who has sat in your seat, not a consultant reading off a deck. What you get is plain calls about what to change first and why, tied to your own numbers, not a binder you file and forget.

How is this different from ServiceTitan Academy or ServiceTitan Success?

Those teach you the software, which buttons do what, and they are worth using. Coaching starts one level down, at the operating model the software runs on top of: whether the book is right, whether jobs get costed, whether the day runs. We complement the training. We do not replace it, and we are not a ServiceTitan program.

Is ServiceTitan coaching worth it?

Only if there is a real gap. If your book is clean and your numbers are one click away, it is not worth it and we will tell you. If most of your services carry no recommendation and your parts are not making it onto invoices, the gap usually pays for the help several times over. The free audit tells you which side you are on before you commit a dollar.

How is coaching different from a pricebook build?

A build fixes the pricebook itself, the pricing and sales system your techs present from. Coaching fixes the shop around it: how work moves, how jobs get costed, how the day runs. They reinforce each other, which is why many owners start with a build, then add coaching so the gains stick.

Do we need a rebuild to get coaching?

No. Coaching works on your existing setup. If a rebuild turns out to be the right move we will say so, but plenty of shops just need the operation around the book tightened first.

How much does ServiceTitan coaching cost?

It depends on the shape of your shop and where the gaps are, so we scope it in a first conversation instead of quoting a sticker price. The honest first step is a free audit of your pricebook, which usually surfaces where the real money is leaking and whether coaching, a build, or both is the right call.

See it on your own book first
